Googly-Eyed.

Tuesday, July 2, 2013

It's the morning after my big move and I've gotten almost no sleep. My mind is a bit like Jello at the moment - even my cab driver told me late last night that I looked like I needed a drink. Hopefully I'll be a little clearer-headed by tomorrow; in the meantime, this project - in which artist and children's book author Oliver Jeffers affixed plastic googly eyes to the faces in an old photograph - made me smile.

And this did, too.

I could go on for hours - see for yourself at Oliver Jeffers website, here. See you tomorrow!

Shoko, congratulations on your move! I hope the new place is everything you've hoped for, and that you'll be able to relax a bit today!

Thanks for the introduction to Jeffers' work - I especially love the sketch books! They inspire me pick up visual journaling again :)

His dipped paintings are great, too. Have you seen them?
