Words & Pictures.

I just spent a good hour scrolling through Ransom Riggs's "Talking Pictures" archive on Mental Floss, which features found photos along with their original - and often very funny - notes and captions. There are so many great ones, but my favorite has to be that cute couple in the middle ("I am saying to her - 'ah cut it out'"). See much, much more, here

Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm looking forward to visiting the farmers' market, getting a much-needed haircut, and trying my hand at making pasta from scratch - wish me luck!

aww so sweet/funny!
good luck with PASTA - the thought of making it from scratch is both TERRIFYING and INTRIGUING (mostly terrifying).

How sentimental and genuine! It's always a good reminder to see that humanity is capable of that :)

And thank you for the sweet notes about my redesign! It's always a risk - but I've been dabbling in HTML and constantly fear that I may have gone overboard!

Ah! This is one of my favorite things you've posted yet! I just love finding things like these -- sometimes I feel like people expressed themselves so beautifully in the generations before ours. It was so simple and straightforward, but so poetic, too. xo

These photos warm my heart! I love that even though time moves forward, human sentiment and emotions stay the same.

And a tip in case you don't have a pasta rack: I've found that hanging pasta from a clothes hanger works just as well. Have a great weekend!

& your brothers photographs on FVF are so beautiful and natural...and I love that light too. :)

Monica, thank you! The pasta making was a blast but I think I need to give it another go before sharing pictures here - let's just say it wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing pasta in the world! Tasty, though! :)
