Insta Eats.

Malaysian artist Hong Yi's Instagram is a wonder, in large part because of her experimental food-focused artwork (that can of soup was made with ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and oyster sauce; the farm scene was constructed using slices from a single cucumber).

See more on Hong Yi's Instagram account, here, and visit her professional website, here. Thanks to Design Crush for the introduction!

PS: Did you hear? Max and Margaux had their baby - so happy to have a (yet unnamed) nephew!

  1. Gosh, some people are so talented! I think my favorites are the cucumber one (second from the bottom) and the oats and lemon one near the top.

Congrats on your auntship, and, of course, to the new parents!

  19. These are so neat. I love hear balloons with the little people.

They remind me of some pieces I saw at our all-night art crawl called Nuit Blanch last summer. The woman had made these huge 'paintings' using icing. The show was held on a rainy weekend and they sure had to make sure those works were covered well!

I saw by the comments that you are an aunt. Congratulations to you and your family. Such an exciting time. xo
