Listen & Love: The Lumineers.

I don't often post about music on Sho & Tell, mainly because the bulk of what I listen to is forty-plus years old: the Who, Led Zeppelin, the Velvet Underground. Every once in a while, though, I come across a song that's too good not to share, and "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers falls into that category, without a doubt. It's fresh, light-hearted, sweet as pie.

Have a listen for yourself:

Heard anything lately that you've loved? Do tell!

  6. The Lumineers been on heavy rotation in my apt for the past week or so! They're touring the northeast now, and actually, just sold out a tiny Boston venue before I was able to snag tickets. Ah well!

I'm currently listing to Snowmine, Dry the River, and Hurricane Bells. Check 'em out!

  8. I'm with you on your music list...but welcome this one...I often put Pandora-Indie Kids on in the morning for my littles and delightfully there are a few unknown gems amidst the wheels on the bus.

  9. Oh, I LOVE this! I love to share new music. :) Definitely putting this on my summer playlist. Also on there: lots of Janelle Monae (particularly Tightrope), Bret Dennen's latest album (he was a local artist around my hometown forever, now he's a bit bigger), and always Michael Franti. xoxo

  15. This song makes me smile! Thank you for sharing! Most of the music I listen to pre-dates me about forty years also, so I know that happy feeling of coming across something current that I just have to share.

A song I've been listening to non-stop lately is "Love Yourself" by Lucy & The Cloud Parade (I think it's from 2010, so current for me!). It's one of those feel-good, skip-down-the-sidewalk, sing-out-loud sort of songs:
