Milk, Cereal, Apples, Oysters.

A few highlights from my week, as seen on Instagram: learning that even breakfast cereal can be luxurious (this is my pal Ross's morning meal in a wine glass)...

...this caffeine-fueled work date at Toby's Estate, captured expertly by wonderful photographer and friend Emily Johnston Anderson (view the rest of her Instagram feed here)...

...and a fried chicken breakfast with one of my best friends, Ben, who snapped this shot of an NYC sign shortly after we said goodbye. I don't know what it means, but I love it.

I hope you all had a nice week - what are your plans over the next couple of days? I'll be working for Smilebooth this weekend (with this lovely lady, such a treat), and feasting on oysters at Lobster Joint in Greenpoint (I've got cravings). Very excited about all of it. Wishing you all a very happy one!

  1. That cereal "bowl" is just great. Not 5 minutes ago, a friend was telling me about how his perfect bachelor moment of last night was eating cereal out of a measuring cup. So I sent that photo over to him. Hilarious.

  5. Such a pretty picture of you (but that wouldn't be hard to get in the least). Fried chicken breakfast? That is different! Have fun at Smilebooth. Not sure what's up for me this weekend but I'll be walking somewhere tomorrow because the weather is expected to be the best it's been for months. xo

  6. You look beautiful! And is that you wearing the cat-print dress I have been dreaming about for the past year or so? Such a great print!

  7. Yay! Cat dress! I didn't know what Smilebooth was before, but now I really want one to be present at my next birthday party. I'll actually be in NY this weekend for a bachelorette party, and I'm excited to go to the Turkish baths and finally check out the Wythe! Have a wonderful weekend, Shoko!! Wish I was in town longer to hang out!

  10. We are having rainy weather today and I am hoping it stays that way through the weekend. I have words to write and work to do and books to read. I also am hoping to squeeze in a viewing of Beasts of the Southern Wild, if I get myself in gear to swing by the library and pick it up.
