Magical Mystery Tour.

Belgian artist Fia Cielen's treasure trove of a studio space has me spellbound. Plants, animals, a tomato-red bed - it's wild and wonderful and weird in ways that I love, but have never been able to make work for myself. (I'm easily distracted by things - see my infinitely less-interesting work space at the bottom of this post.)

Head in the Clouds.

This eye-catching tutorial on cloud-making has my imagination running wild. Homemade clouds? Can't think anything cooler. I'd hang one from a beam on my canopy bed-frame - that way, I could do this as often as I pleased.

Office Envy.

Behold, the office of Max, Bri, Michael, Steve, Emma, Brian, and Jonathan. Did you happen to see the tour over on Apartment Therapy yesterday? The full post's here, with photos by Bethany Nauert.

Makes me want to rethink my own workspace, below - it's looking a little lackluster in comparison (though I do have a framed print of a marmoset wearing a suit, resting atop a stack of books).

Maybe a hot pink map of the world is next? 

Toast with the Most.

Danish chef René Redzepi (Bon Appetit calls him "the world's best") sautés wild mushrooms in olive oil; adds shallots, cream, and oysters; and lays it all atop buttered sourdough toast with thinly sliced lardo. Suddenly, my go-to breakfast of oatmeal with sunflower seeds seems a tad dull.

This is something I'd normally consider posting on a Monday, but why not Friday? I can't think of a better way to start the weekend than with a little creative inspiration.
